Walkabout 3 : Ghost of the Population White Paper casts long shadow in Pasir Ris – Punggol GRC

Members of SingFirst were warmly received by residents of Pasir Ris – Punggol GRC when we went on our third constituency walkabout on Sunday 14 December 2014. Many have heard about us before and were happy to see us in their neighbourhood.

Several of the residents, in particular the young and middle age PMETs, expressed concern about the effects of the government’s liberal immigration policy. We disclosed to them that we had chosen to come to Pasir Ris – Punggol GRC in order to highlight this particular issue. Their MP and anchor minister in their GRC, Teo Chee Hean, is the minister in charge of the Population White Paper. In the PWP, the minister wants huge numbers of additional foreign PMETs and workers to come into Singapore, which will overcrowd our little island even more.

We empathise with their worries and told them the coming GE will give them the opportunity to put things right at the ballot box.

These are the photographs of our walkabout. Please comment and share your thoughts with us.

      • Singfirst is the type of people that is faithful and truthful to the people of Singapore, their own people. As for you, your fingers bent outward most unnaturally. Maybe that way you can grab more money but most unfortunately it will fall off inadvertently. I pity your father and mother, your wives and your children. Your kind will surely sell them for a dime and dollar.

  1. I’ll soon be a resident in Ponggol-Pasir Ris GRC, and I warmly welcome SingFist party to contest here. I’ve had enough of how the government have mess up this country, where there is absolutely no accountability and transparency. It’s high time for a change!

  2. Ga yau,SingFirst!!!!But it may worries me that WP wants to contest there….
Would you kindly discuss this matter round??We dun wanna see a potential 3CF there….
